Our History
LAPROFAR Laboratories is a pharmaceutical company founded on April 24, 1987 by Mr. Rufino Antonio Santos Rivera in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Rufino already had, at that time, extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector, which allowed him to start the company’s operations.
Since the beginning, he made sure the company followed the necessary quality guidelines in order to manufacture, market and distribute the best medicines for human use. A Quality Management System based on Good Manufacturing Practices was established, in order to guarantee compliance with the best guidelines for the realization of our products and services, with a constant focus on our customers and their satisfaction.
Throughout these almost three decades, in LAPROFAR Laboratories we have developed a wide range of medications for different medical specialties. This range is made up of: vitamins, appetite stimulants, anti-flu, anti-asthmatics, antipyretics, analgesics, muscle relaxants, antibiotics, fungicides, trichonicides, monoliases, sleep inducers, antihistamines, laxatives, antacids, antispasmodics, anthelmintics, among others. Among the different pharmaceutical forms manufactured in our facilities are: tablets, capsules, syrups, suspensions, solutions, creams, suppositories and ovules; thus covering the entire spectrum of the health needs of our clients.
